A private road maintenance association for landowners in Tiger Island, Levy County, Florida.
Fire update, April 20, 2026: Three fires burned in Tiger Island over the weekend. One appears to have started from a lightning strike about two weeks earlier and had been smoldering; the source of the others is still under investigation by the forestry division, though it appears at least one started from a camp burn. Forestry crews entered without cutting the gate locks — a member on scene had a key — and will install lock boxes at both gates so the board can provide access keys. The fires are contained; roughly 10 acres and 7 acres burned in two areas, with the acreage in the "fly" area still undetermined.
Tiger Island Owners Association originated in 1990 to manage and maintain the private road system in the community. The Board of Directors is a group of elected volunteers who devote their time to maintaining and improving the roads within Tiger Island.
Tiger Island is located in Levy County, approximately 12 miles northeast of Cedar Key, Florida. It covers roughly 7,000 acres, divided into privately owned parcels ranging from 30 to over 100 acres.

Tiger Island has gated entries. Each owner is issued a key that works on both the Buck Trail (north) and Clayton Road (south) gates. Keys are issued only to registered owners and mailed to their home address. Please lock the gates when entering or leaving. Report gate problems to Jose Rubio, Association President, at (813) 494-3723 or by email.
Road maintenance dues are $250 per parcel (rising to $300 per parcel beginning January 2025). Adjoining parcels owned by the same person or group are $100 for each additional parcel. Dues are due in January each year and considered late in March. Payment should be by check or money order, and should include the owner's name and parcel number(s). Liens will be placed on parcels with outstanding dues.
Your participation ensures the association is providing required information to all landowners and your concerns and issues are heard.
