Board members are volunteers who give up their free time to make the community better. If you have a question or issue that needs attention, contact a board member — if they don't know there's a problem, they can't find a solution.
Fire Update
April 20, 2026
Three fires burned in Tiger Island over the weekend. One appears to have started from a lightning strike about two weeks earlier and had been smoldering; the source of the others is still under investigation by the forestry division, though it appears at least one started from a camp burn. Forestry crews entered without cutting the gate locks — a member on scene had a key — and will install lock boxes at both gates so the board can provide access keys. The fires are contained; roughly 10 acres and 7 acres burned in two areas, with the acreage in the "fly" area still undetermined.

March 13, 2027Mark your calendars! Next year's meeting will be held on the second Saturday of March — March 13, 2027.
Gate keys are exchanged at the annual meeting. If you're delinquent on road dues, you'll receive one key; get current and swap for the full set. If your dues are current but you can't attend, mail your keys to TISCOA, c/o Lisa Freyer, 6209 Imperial Key, Tampa FL 33615.
It's your land, your roads, your Owners' Association. Road dues become delinquent after the meeting, and liens will be filed on any property not current.
Locks
We've had several locks stolen. Thieves needed a key to remove them, meaning the theft came from within the association. Please report missing locks immediately to any board member.
The gate locks have very small tolerances and should not be greased or oiled — this causes them to jam and require repair or replacement. If a lock isn't working well, please report it to a board member rather than oiling it.
Gate Keys
Keys are exchanged at the annual meeting. Please don't leave the gates unlocked — it invites unwanted visitors and lets sand into the locks, ruining them.
Mailing List
If you know an owner who hasn't been receiving correspondence, ask them to contact a board member to be added to our mailing list. If you've recently purchased property in Tiger Island, send your name and address to Jose Rubio, President, so you can be added.
Decals
Tiger Island decals and guest passes are available at no charge to owners. Decals should be posted on the driver-side window to help identify owner vehicles quickly. Contact Jose Rubio at (352) 588-0490 to obtain stickers and passes.
Overdue Accounts
The Board of Directors has approved hiring an attorney to assist in collecting past-due accounts. The board appreciates members who submit their dues on time.
Road Maintenance
Please report road problems to a board member — they may not be aware of an issue in your area. Roads gated off by owners are the owners' responsibility; the association won't maintain a road that all members can't access at all times.
Some members have removed their gates, received road improvements, then put the gates back up. This is not an appropriate use of association funds.
Trespassers
All property within Tiger Island is privately owned. Report trespassers directly to the Levy County Sheriff's Office and/or the Game Warden.
